My impressions of Betwixt

I actually really enjoyed this book. It took me a little while to get into it, but once I was in I was hooked. I grew up on fairy tales of changelings, and have read a lot of fantasy - and a lot of Urban Fantasy (Charles de Lint etc) so this was right up my alley. I loved the characters, the way they developed and their interactions. It was a very edgy and gritty teen story of coming of age and emancipation. My only annoyance was the ending! I HATE it when they leave off like that - suddenly and without warning.. It is obvious there is a book coming after this one, and we are expected to read it. I have no problems with series and sequals, but on the other hand, i hate it when the separate books are seen as one long novel - and nothing is done to tie off each installment. So I liked this book, but I hated the non-existance of the conclusion.

I will be looking out for the next book... although I may wait for it to hit the library rather than buying it
