Hi, I'm sooo glad to find this website for like-minded passionate readers. I've just read The Broken Shore & loved the writing, it is so atmospheric & describes the area & characters so vividly. To me the story starts off simply but PT just peels away the layers of the crime to reveal the horror beneath. The title is spot on as the main character too is a broken man as are most of the people he deals with, friends & foes. I thoroughly recommend this book, it just draws you in slowly but surely. Enjoy.
