Bookwyrm named Jacq

Hi Guys,
You can call me Jacq, although I also go by Obsidiantears83 and Gypsy online. But I thought I would be friendly and use a real name LOL I'm completely addicted to reading and collecting books. I've always been a bookwyrm and voracious reader - right back to the age of 7 :) My main genres are fantasy/sf/horror, mysteries, classics, poetry, thrillers and some girly stuff (I love Nora Robberts, but she is the only romance novelist I read). I've read most fantasy books, well, a couple of thousand anyway - I knw there are obviously some out there I havent read LOL I got sick of the same characters, plots and motifs in fantasy, which is why I spread out and mostly read horror/dark fantasy and classics these days. But I still read books from all the above genres. The best thing about taking the train to work everyday is that I get to read on my way to work! unfortunately that means I finish my new books within the first couple of days, and i only allow myself to buy two books a fortnight... luckily I have such a big collection to draw from when I run out of new fodder!

As well as being obsessive about books, my other obsessions are music (mostly metal and industrial, but also an eclectic range of other sounds), archaeology (I am an archaeologist working for an IT firm LOL but it means i can afford to buy books... so...), the internet, art, nature, and other nerdy pursuits. My favourite tv shows are Firefly, Dark Angel and SPACED.
