BOOK DIARY / READING LOG
A nice feature would be to be able to view the books one has read as a kind of diary or book reading log with a time record.
READING TIMELINE
It would be great to be able to see WHEN you read a book and to be able to view a list or timeline. This is the kind of thing that elementary school age children do all the time.
READING CALENDAR
One can also imagine seeing the books one reads in some kind of calendar format.
GRAPHING
Also it would be interesting to be able to graph the number of books read over a certain time period - a month, a year, etc.

This is the kind of thing I often think of doing, but usually put off due to the shear inertia of starting. Putting it online makes it a lot more attractive to me and I think to a lot of others.

These are all of course interelated ideas and all potentially created from the same database. One could choose to share one's reading or keep it private. Sharers would tend to create communities based on shared interests or habits.
