Japanese related fictionI've read a few novels set in Japan of old and new. Each has been a wonderful journey which I can highly recommend. In the search for more novels I thought I'd start this book club to share and discover with you.

After annoying Jeremy (admin) for a while we have been rewarded with forums within the book clubs. Thanks Jeremy :)
Previously it was difficult to talk with your fellow book club members and could only be done via a mass email. With these forums comes an easier and much more pleasant way to communicate. We can now gather ideas and suggestions for future book club books and discuss the current books we are reading. Don't be shy to get involved with the forum and give us your suggestions for future books we should be reading.

Hello all. I thought we'd begin with a light novel by one of my favourite authors, James Clavell. He wrote The Asian Saga which is a collection of loosely tied novels set in Japan and Hong Kong. you can find out more about the series here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Asian_Saga

Just a hello for the time being :)
Once we get a few more members we will start with our first book selection. Keep an eye out for a novel set in Japan or one written by a Japanese author. There are undiscovered gems on every bookshelf!
