Hi Tony,
I have read White Tiger, and Red Phoenix and Blue Dragon. Weren't they absolute rippers? So pacey! I really enjoyed them - and thought they marked a good area between fantasy and action and thriller all at once, not to mention being a great mini lesson in Chinese mythology!

Has anyone read "White Tiger: Dark Heavens Book One" by Kylie Chan? It's part of a series that is now into book 3. What I ound interesting about this book by an Australian Author is that it isn't set in the classic fantasy mould of European fantasy figures of trolls, orcs and the like, but involves well researched chinese mythology. Chinese mythology meets modern day Australia and Hong Kong. I like a refreshing change in the fantasy genre, and I quite like this series.

I am quite obsessed with Tanith Lee as she wrote my most beloved book in the entire world: The Silver-Metal Lover - a book I could not recommend more highly - most especially to women, as it's all about first love, and whether a robot can feel such an emotion ... the setting is beautifully depicted - a world after the comet has hit ... and the ideas in it are still relevant today (and will no doubt continue to be). And it's just a damn good book!
